Allstate Tried To Screw My Customer
03-11-2008

Allstate Insurance Sucks

I am an owner of a body shop in Van Nuys, Ca. My customer's 1998 MBZ 500SL was rear ended by an Allstate insured. Three Allstate appraisers came out at the same time (maybe it was training day) and inspected the rear ended vehicle. Collision Damage to the vehicle according to our collision estimate was $3200. Allstate refused to appraise the damage at that price and wrote their own estimate at $1600. I called the customer and told him to go through his insurance since Allstate was low balling us on the price of repairs. He called USAA and they appraised the damage to the vehicle to be at $3300!!

Allstate's way of doing business is to "Discount" repairs with used or rebuilt parts and low labor payout. If you the insured complain about the fact of used or rebuilt parts are being used on your car, Allstate will go into "Dispute" mode. After "Disputing" they will "Deny" that the discounted repair process they are trying to do on your car is not cutting corners. If you are able to convince them that they are cutting corners by either "Discounting" repairs with rebuilt or used parts or labor, you can expect payment to arrive by snail mail (which is the delay tactic). Stay far away from Allstate, they along with State Farm are the worst insurance companies when it comes to cutting corners on car repairs. USAA is one of the best car insurance companies to have.

MY POINT IS THEY ARE CORRUPT AND DOING PEOPLE WRONG.

If anyone has insurance with these people please cancel and help spread the word about their wrong doings. The only way to fight large companies is with the lose of accounts and money.

Our Only Hope

Allstate Insurance Sucks"There is no incentive for insurance companies to do what is right, such as live up to the promises made in their policies. Tort reformers fueled by insurance money think big business and the insurance industry need to be protected against "runaway juries." It's the other way around. Big business and the insurance industry have always been able to take care of themselves. The little people need protection from them. This country was founded on the common law right of the little guy to get into court with his hired gun to fight the oppressor, be it big government or big business. Take that away and we have nothing left. Look around. It's being whittled away, bit by bit, caps on damages here, restrictions on jury trials there. It won't end until we recognize the enemy and join together to take a stand against them. It will take the little people to do this together".
